On Saturday, November 07, 2020 the music of Led Zeppelin and The Who will echo through the high ceilings of North Bay’s most prestigious venues, when Michael White & The White bring the sounds of Led Zeppelin and The Who to Trinity United Church.

After Beatlemania, The White was the first musical group to be known as a tribute band. Mr. White formed The White in 1977. Since then, the group has played over 8,000 shows to over a million fans around the world. Although he has been performing Led Zeppelin's music for so many years, Mr. White doesn’t get tired of it. “I love it,” he said. “The music is as vital today as it ever was.” At one recent show in particular, Mr. White said three generations attended together.

“Playing in a church setting is inspirational,” White declared, “Trinity United has such great acoustics. It's a perfect venue for an old school rock show!” This classic rock live concert will have even the most ardent Zeppelin and Who fans cheering for more!

Originally from Los Angeles, Michael performed frequently in Hollywood during the mid 1970s and actually met The Who’s legendary drummer, Keith Moon. “He was a great guy. Always very nice and friendly,” Michael recalls, “Keith liked to just hang out in the clubs with all of us young musicians. You read about all of these crazy things he would do, but around us he was down to earth.”

In 1983 the vocalist for Led Zeppelin, Robert Plant, helped Michael negotiate a $350,000 solo recording contract with Atlantic Records.

White's musical career has ranged beyond Led Zeppelin and The Who. In addition to recording both solo and group releases for Atlantic Records, he has also recorded and performed with artists such as, Nikki Sixx, Alice Cooper, Keith Emerson, Steve Morse, Dweezil Zappa, Steve Lukather, Rick Wakeman, Rik Emmett, Randy Bachman, and Jeff Healey.

But Zeppelin has always been with him. The Led Zeppelin music he and his band The White play is so true to the spirit of their idols that they have actually been endorsed by Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page and Robert Plant. Don’t miss this show!

Brought to us by Michael White.
