The Capitol Centre, with the financial support of Employment and Social Development Canada, is offering a full-time, eight-week job opportunity for an Event Coordinator.

Job Description: The Event Coordinator will support the Audience Services team with all aspects of the planning and execution of events and public-facing event-related operations of the Capitol Centre, which includes the Betty Speers Theatre, the WKP Kennedy Gallery and the Cooperator’s Spotlight Lounge.  The Event Coordinator will assist with the inventory and cataloguing of Front-of-House equipment, food-and-beverage stock, and special collections of the Capitol Centre, and work with the Audience Services Manager and Gallery Director to prepare for the 2024-2025 Season and beyond. The position will further support the Audience Services Team by assisting with volunteer engagement planning, providing day-of support for summer events, researching eco-friendly hospitality opportunities, compiling hospitality data, helping to create event-specific procedural manuals, and reviewing and updating Health & Safety supplies.

The ideal candidate would be a self-starter who is comfortable taking initiative and able to work independently. We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual to represent the Capitol Centre when interacting with volunteers and patrons.
