'Artful Adventures' A Solo Exhibition by Hannnah Gigac on view April 17th- May 15th, 2026.

A word from the artist:

"Within my gallery, I aim to create an environment that feels comforting, warm, and deeply hospitable. An environment where people talk and enjoy an outgoing gathering while in the company of my work. Though I specialize in black-and-white art, the first sensation I want visitors to experience is cheerfulness through light and colour. Bold and fluorescent accents, such as hand-painted frames, watercolour drawings, flowers, and funky lighting, will be sprawled throughout the space. With ribbons flowing across the walls and ceilings, and warm red-and-orange paper lanterns casting a gentle glow, I hope the room itself feels as if you've stepped into an old-fashioned party, which sparks some joy and creativity amongst the crowd.

This exhibition is centred on togetherness and the profound notion of connection. In a world that often overwhelms our attention towards elements of war, political division, climate anxiety and everyday hardships, I want to create a sanctuary that reminds people that there is still colour, beauty, and shared humanity within everything.

I pride myself on being empathetic, and for as long as I can remember, I’ve felt a desire to help change the world in whatever ways I can. The themes that have spoken to me are built to highlight that we are not isolated beings struggling through life alone, but people living on one shared floating rock. We coexist, depend upon, and collectively create artist experiences everywhere we wander. What once was one shared continent can still showcase humans' love for unity.

Through pieces inspired by architecture and diverse worldscapes, I hope to evoke a sense of cultural, historical, and futuristic connection. My travels thus far have taught me to recognize the shared behaviours, joys, and rhythms of life that unite us, despite the differences of race, gender, religion, or geography that often separate us. My work celebrates that underlying similarity, we are all living creations, all equal in enjoying and living life, not just surviving it.

Images of animals, plants, and geographic landscapes reflect the beauty gifted to us by the natural world. Beauty that we must pause to appreciate if we want to protect and honour it; ultimately, a gentle reminder to appreciate one another.

Through this exhibition, I hope to take one small step toward encouraging a deeper love, appreciation, and awareness of the harmonious world we might build together, within all generations. Our only true task in life is to stop fighting each other long enough to see how we are all creations of art."
