Opening Reception: Allan Hirsh Solo Exhibition

Join us on July 7th between 6-8pm to celebrate the opening reception of 'Retirement' a solo exhibition by Allan Hirsh.

Allan Hirsh is a woodworker and a sculptor but for the past 50 years has also worked as a psychotherapist. At the end of 2022 Allan decided to retire from his practice. For years, he sat at an old 1940's oak desk where he organized his notes and made new appointments. He loved his desk, but it was too heavy and large to move out of his office. Luckily though after some thought, he figured out how to take the desk apart and move the wood into his studio… From there he got to work and has made a series of wooden sculptures!

If you are unable to attend our opening reception, not to worry! 'Retirement' will be on view from July 4th-August 4th in gallery I. The gallery is open Tuesday- Satruday between 12-4pm.
