Past Exhibit: Nipissing Alumni Back in North Bay

By | September 25, 2018

Where are they now?

Nipissing University alumni are returning to North Bay this weekend to share their post-grad artistic journey.

We are excited to announce the inaugural Nipissing University alumni exhibition, Launch Point. It will feature artists in a diverse range of art such as painting, digital media, drawing, print, sculpture, instillation and mixed media.

The show represents a range of approaches to art-making taken by the artists who received their original foundation studio training at Nipissing University. Exhibiting artist will participate in a panel discussion at the WKP Kennedy Gallery during the Super Hop downtown starting at 7 pm Friday.

Launch Point and Suku Park’s ceramic exhibition will be on display during this weekend’s Super Hop.

The gallery also will host many events on Friday and Saturday. We are excited to be part of North Bay’s first Creative Summit, presented by Creative Industries North Bay Inc. It will activate downtown North Bay with workshops, panel discussions, public activations and think tanks.
The gallery will host the Cultural Resource Lab, the Working Together panel discussion and an interactive presentation by CARFAC Ontario and Craft Ontario. Join us Saturday morning at 9:30 am for a free breakfast with live music and opening address by Mayor Al McDonald.
