As a not-for-profit, the Capitol Centre strives to provide accessible programming to benefit our community. Along with the operation of the WKP Kennedy Gallery as a public gallery (free admission), here are some of the programs that we are proud to offer, all of which are funded by donations, sponsorships, and other fundraising initiatives:

Arts for All Offer

"Arts for All" is a program in which we provide complimentary tickets to not-for-profits and service groups so that patrons who may not otherwise be able to access the arts have an opportunity to attend events at the Capitol Centre. Approximately 26 local organizations are included in our "Arts for All" offers.

Next Generation Education Series

The Next Generation Education Series is dedicated to inspiring youth with the performing arts through performances that have been specifically curated for young audiences. Programming will offer ways to complement the curriculum, with the intention of being more than a traditional field trip. Instead, they are unique and thrilling cultural experiences that support the development of creative students who, in turn, build creative communities. These performances are offered exclusively as part of the education series and are not available to the public. There are no ticketing costs for the attendees. For more information, click here

Arts Worker Promotions

The Arts Worker promotion is available to anyone who works in the arts. This includes everyone from students/apprentices to hobbyists and professionals in visual art, music, acting, design, or cinematography, and more! We are here to motivate and encourage you to explore a variety of art forms. Arts Worker promotions offer $15 tickets to select shows and can be found on our social media.

Free Family Films and Events

Film screenings and events throughout the year that are geared towards families and are totally free to attend. This gives families a chance to see some new releases and old favourites on the big screen, as well as family-friendly events like our Holiday Open House. All of these events are scheduled at times that are more accessible for our littlest patrons including matinees, weekends, March Break, Christmas/Holiday Break, and throughout the summer.
