The Strumbellas are Bay Block Party’s 2026 Main Stage Headliners

It was announced today that Canadian rock band The Strumbellas will headline the Main Stage at Bay Block Party 2026 on August 22^nd!

“Once again, Bay Block Party will feature a line-up of incredible local talent on the Main Stage as well as at other venues throughout the festival, including more visual arts demonstrations. Headlining this local showcase is an award-winning Canadian band hailing from Lindsay, ON. They cover a wide variety of genres, including indie rock, alternative country, folk rock, and folk pop with hits such as “Spirits” and “I’ll Wait,” teased Katina Connolly, Executive Director of the Capitol Centre as she built up to the big reveal.

Hannah McCallum, the Event Coordinator for Bay Block Party, also shared some exciting updates including the addition of a Pre-Party, expanding Bay Block Party from a one-day event to a festival weekend. “We’re thrilled to announce that due to popular demand, for the first time, Bay Block Party will extend to the Friday night with the Pre-Party on August 21” dished McCallum. "Stay tuned for more details!”

“With the announcement of our headliner and that we’ll be expanding to Friday night, we are excited to open performer submissions today!’ Continued McCallum, “We’re looking to fill the opening acts on the Main Stage, spots on the second-annual Rogers Radio North Bay Acoustic Stage, and in a variety of locations at the Bay Block Pre-Party. Bay Block Party Mugs for the Drink Garden (19+) will also go on sale tomorrow, February 26 @ 12:00 noon online at Bayblockparty.ca and at the Redpath Box Office at the Capitol Centre. Pre-sale mugs will be $20 and include the mug and 2 drink tokens. As with last year, pre-purchased mugs and tokens can be picked up on the day of Bay Block Party at the “token only” tent.
