Capitol Centre Presents: Winter Bluesfest
Blues Music Festival
The Capitol Centre is excited to unveil Winter Bluesfest, happening January 9-11, 2025, here to help shake off your winter blues! Originally held outdoors over Labour Day, the Bluesfest festival was paused due to lack in funding. With support from the BACH Program (Building Communities Through Arts and Heritage) through Canadian Heritage, the event has been reimagined for winter. Highlights include a kickoff party on the 9th, the "Winter Bluesfest Shuffle" on the 10th, and a main concert featuring headliner Monkey Junk on the 11th, along with a themed life drawing session at the WKP Kennedy Gallery.

Winter Bluesfest Kickoff Party (FREE)
Turn up the heat and shake off the winter blues as we kick off our Winter Bluesfest with a night of top notch entertainment. Join us at Gateway City Brewery to launch our festival featuring Sean Poluk from Sudbury and North Bay’s own Jesse Thomas Band. The night will be filled with hot tunes, cold brews, giveaways and much more!
FRIDAY JANUARY 10 at 7:30 PM
Winter Bluesfest Shuffle (FREE)
Taking place over multiple venues, the Winter Bluesfest Shuffle is your chance to choose your own adventure! Shuffle from venue to venue as you catch your favorite acts all located in the heart of Downtown North Bay. Whether it be Lou Dawgs, Moose’s Cookhouse, or the WKP Kennedy Gallery, there is something for everyone.
Artists involved include: J Houston Band, The Hurricanes, Bear Claw Bob, Alicia Turner, Blues Therapy, Tommy Fyfe, Jake Thomas

Life Drawing – Bluesfest Edition - 1:00 PM

Tickets – $10 at the door
An engaging drop-in life drawing session, with bluesy vibes! Immerse yourself in the art of capturing the human form with a variety of poses, including a captivating long pose during the final hour.
Winter Bluesfest Mainstage Concert - 5:00 PM
