Capitol Centre opens without proof of vaccination requirement

By Katina Connolly | February 28, 2022

North Bay, ON February 28, 2022: The Capitol Centre will be loosening restrictions in
accordance with provincial guidelines effective Tuesday, March 1, 2022. Proof of vaccination
will no longer be required. The Capitol Centre will maintain a 75% capacity restriction for the
month of March in order to allow a period for staff, volunteers and patrons to adjust to the
ongoing changes. Covid symptom screening will continue and masks will still be required for
all events except when consuming food or beverages while seated. We are hopeful that this is
one step closer to a pre-pandemic normal but will continue to follow public health and
government authority advice and update our position as needed.
The following upcoming events are currently on sale in addition to many more which are listed
on our website:

WKP Kennedy Gallery Art Academy - March 14-18
North Bay Live Show featuring Peter Cliche and Those Lights - March 16
Outerbridge Clockwork Mysteries - March 25
Any Dream Will Do: The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber - March 30
An Evening with Steve Patterson - April 1

Box Office is open from Noon - 4pm on Tuesday through Friday and tickets are always
available for purchase online at capitolcentre.org. The WKP Kennedy Gallery continues to
welcome visitors by appointment. You can schedule a visit on kennedygallery.org

“We are always optimistic that a step forward is a step in the right direction but ultimately the
health and safety of our staff and patrons is our utmost priority and if we need to adjust our
plans to ensure everyone has a positive theatre or gallery experience, then we won’t hesitate
to do so.” said Katina Connolly, Executive Director.

The Capitol Centre is eager to welcome audiences back and appreciates the community
support over the last two years. Ongoing updates about live performances in the Betty Speers
Theatre and exhibitions in the WKP Kennedy Gallery can be found on our social media
